| The Esophageal PH Capsule is placed during
an EGD Procedure. It enables the physician to determine
the ph of the esophagus and will aid in the care and treatment
of acid reflux |

your physician to examine the lining of the colon (large
bowel). |

| Flexible Sigmoidoscopy |
| Flexible sigmoidoscopy is a procedure that
enables your physician to examine the lining of the left
side of the colon (large bowel). |

| Capsule Endoscopy is a procedure that enables
your physician to examine the lining of the small intestine. |

| SEDATION |
| Unless you are having a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy,
sedation is indicated and recommended by your physician.
If you are scheduled to receive sedation for the procedure,
you will be unable to drive until the next day. We
require that a friend of family member escort you from
the endoscopy suite and drive you home.
Public transportation in not acceptable unless a friend
or family member accompanies you. |
