| Edward J. Wolf, M.D. Gastroenterology
|
| Dr. Edward Wolf received a
B.A. from Columbia University in 1976 and
an M.D. from S.U.N.Y. Downstate in 1980, Magna
Cum Laude. He completed the Internal Medicine
Residency Program at the Bronx Municipal Hospital
Center and went on to a fellowship in Gastroenterology
at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
His special interests in Gastroenterology
include therapeutic endoscopy, inflammatory
bowel disease, pancreatitis and gastro-intestinal
cancer. He has been a member of the Alpha
Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society since
1980 and is also a Fellow of the American
College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Wolf is Board Certified in both Internal
Medicine and Gastroenterology. |

| Todd D. Heller, M.D. Gastroenterology
|
| Dr. Todd Heller is a Summa
Cum Laude graduate of Yeshiva University and
its Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He
did his Internal Medicine residency at Montefiore
Hospital and his fellowship in Gastroenterology
at St. Luke's Hospital. Dr. Heller came to
Baltimore in 1989 to join Dr. Edward Wolf,
forming what now is Woodholme Gastroenterology
Associates.
While enjoying all fields of Gastroenterology,
Dr. Heller has a particular interest in
inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease
and ulcerative colitis), interventional
biliary endoscopy, and liver disease. A
Fellow of the American College of Physicians
and American College of Gastroenterology,
Dr. Heller is Board Certified in both Internal
Medicine and Gastroenterology. |

| Loc T. Le, M.D. Gastroenterology
|
| Dr. Loc T. Le graduated from
Union College in Schenectady, New York, Magna
Cum Laude, with a degree in Mathematics and
Biology in 1984. He received his Doctor of
Medicine degree from the University of Rochester
School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester,
New York in 1988. Dr. Le completed his Internship
and Residency at the Sinai Hospital/Johns
Hopkins Hospital Internal Medicine Residency
Program.
While at Sinai Hospital he received the
Best Resident of the Year Award in 1991.
He did his Gastroenterology Fellowship at
the Medical College of Virginia where he
received extensive training in therapeutic
gastrointestinal endoscopy and hepatology.
His special interest is ERCP (Endoscopic
Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). A
member of the American College of Gastroenterology
and the American College of Physicians,
Dr. Le is Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Dr. Le is a former Chairman of the Division
of Gastroenterology and Director of Endoscopy
at Harbor Hospital of Baltimore (July 1998-July
2004).
He holds the ranks of Assistant Professor
of Medicine, University of Maryland School
of Medicine and Instructor in Medicine,
Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a teaching faculty member at Sinai Hospital and Harbor Hospital, he received the Golden Apple "Best Teacher of Year" Awards twice, in 1996 and 1998.

| Edward D. Zimmerman, M.D.
Gastroenterology |
| A long-time resident of Baltimore,
Maryland, Dr. Edward Zimmerman graduated St.
Georges University School of Medicine. His
internship and residency in Internal Medicine
was done at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Fellowship
training in Gastroenterology was obtained
at University of Maryland and the V.A. Hospital
System in Baltimore.
After several years in solo Gastroenterology
practice, Dr. Zimmerman joined the practice
of Woodholme Gastroenterology Associates,
P.A. Dr. Zimmerman has special interest
in diseases of the esophagus and colo-rectal
cancer.
Dr. Zimmerman is married, has three children,
and lives in Pikesville.
Dr. Zimmerman is Board Certified in both
Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. |

| Lila Tarmin, M.D. Gastroenterology
|
| Dr. Lila Tarmin graduated from
Barnard College and Georgetown Medical School.
She completed a Residency in Internal medicine
at Georgetown University Hospital and a Fellowship
in Gastroenterology at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Tarmin's research in gastro- intestinal
oncology and inflammatory bowel disease
has appeared in a number of professional
journals. She has a personal interest in
colon cancer screening, irritable bowel
syndrome and treatment of obesity. A Fellow
of the American College of Physicians, Dr.
Tarmin is Board Certified in Internal Medicine
and Gastroenterology. |

| Michael S. Siuta, M.D. Gastroenterology |
| Dr. Michael Siuta was born
and raised in Baltimore County. After graduating
from the University of Virginia in 1986, he
returned to Baltimore to attend the University
of Maryland School of Medicine. He received
his Doctor of Medicine in 1990, and remained
at University of Maryland Hospital for a residency
in Internal Medicine. An additional year was
spent on faculty in the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Siuta completed a three-year Fellowship
in Gastroenterology at the Medical College
of Virginia in 1997. In addition to training
in gastroenterology and hepatology, he received
additional training in nutrition. During
his first year he completed a Fellowship
in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy and was
the Chief Fellow.
He is Board Certified in both Internal
Medicine and Gastroenterology. Professional
interests include interventional biliary
endoscopy, nutrition, colorectal cancer
pathogenesis, and gastroesophageal reflux
disease. |

| Gerald A. Hofkin, M.D. Gastroenterology |
| Dr. Gerald Hofkin received
AB and MA degrees from Johns Hopkins University
in June 1957. He received the MD degree
from the University of Maryland in June
1961 He was awarded an MBA degree in May
2003 by the Johns Hopkins University. A
member of Alpha Omega Alpha, he is board
certified in both Internal Medicine and
Gastroenterology and is a Fellow of the
American College of Physicians and the American
College of Gastroenterology.
Following his three years of service in
the Army, he entered private practice in
Baltimore from 1969 to 1991. He joined the
full time faculty of Sinai Hospital from
1991 to 1999.
He has served as President of the Maryland
Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy; Chairman
of the Medical Executive Committee, Sinai
Hospital and President of Medical Staff,
Sinai Hospital; and Assistant Professor
of Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
His main areas of interest are the esophagus,
stomach, small intestine and colon. |

| Lester
K. Bowser, M.D. Gastroenterology |
Dr.
Bowser was born and raised in Baltimore
City . He graduated from the University
of Maryland Baltimore County with a degree
in Biology. He attended the University of
Pittsburgh School of Medicine with a full
scholarship and earned his Doctorate of
Medicine in 1994. He completed his internship
and residency in Internal Medicine at Walter
Reed Army Medical Center in Washington ,
D.C. His Gastroenterology Fellowship was
completed at Brooke Army Medical Center
in San Antonio , Texas where he received
training in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal
endoscopy. He completed his eleven year
United States Army career at the rank of
Major and Assistant Chief of the Department
of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Bowser has given multiple
lectures and has published in the field
of Gastroenterology. He is currently a member
of the American Society of Gastrointestinal
Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology
and the American College of Physicians.
Although he likes all areas of gastroenterology,
his special interests include colon cancer
screening, interventional biliary endoscopy
and gastrointestinal reflux disease. Dr. Bowser is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. |

| Ernest Tsao, M.D. Gastroenterology
|
| Dr. Tsao earned
his medical degree from St. George's University
School of Medicine. He completed an internal
medicine internship and residency program
at Stony Brook University Medical Center
in 2004. He continued his training at Stony
Brook with a fellowship in Gastroenterology
and Hepatology.
Dr. Tsao is a member of the American Gastroenterological
Association, the American College of Gastroenterology
and the American Society of Gastrointestinal
Endoscopy. He now holds the rank of clinical assistant professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Tsao was given the 2008 Golden Apple award at Harbor Hospital for outstanding teaching. His research on gastrointestinal
disorders has been published in peer-reviewed
journals, and he is the recipient of several
academic awards and honors.
Dr. Tsao's professional interests include
colorectal cancer, upper digestive tract
cancer, esophageal disorders, interventional
biliary endoscopy and hepatology.
He is based at Woodholme GI's Severn office
on 802 Landmark Drive #129, Glen
Burnie. He and his wife, Anna, reside in
Ellicott City. |

| Steven Epstein, M.D. Gastroenterology |
Dr. Steven Epstein was born and raised in Baltimore. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Union College in Schenectady, New York and received his M.D. degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Maryland and his gastroenterology fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where he received training in diagnostic and interventional endoscopy as well as hepatology.
Dr. Epstein is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His special interests include inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-intestinal cancers, and therapeutic endoscopy.

| Eric Blum, M.D., M.S. Gastroenterology |
Dr. Eric Blum was born and raised in Pikesville, Maryland. He graduated with highest honors from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998 and received his M.D. degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2002. He completed his internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri in 2005, followed by his gastroenterology fellowship at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio in 2009. While in Cleveland, Dr. Blum also received his M.S. in clinical research.
Dr. Blum is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. His special interests include Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and microscopic colitis (lymphocytic/collagenous colitis), but welcomes any patient with gastrointestinal problems.
Dr. Blum is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

| Ms. Denese
Gaughan received a BS in Nursing from University
of Maryland in 1993. She went on to earn
her Master in Nursing degree from University
of Maryland School of Medicine Acute Care
Nurse Practitioner program in 2000.
Ms. Gaughan attends patients at North West
Hospital in addition to working with Dr.
Zimmerman in Pikesville and Severn.

| Ms. Janet Gripshover earned her BS in Biology from James Madison University, and went on to earn a BS from the University of Pennsylvania in Nursing. She continued to earn a Masters degree in Family Health Nursing from that same institution in 2005. She is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
With Dr. Le, she attends patients in Pikesville, Severn, and Eldersburg. Ms. Gripshover also has privileges at Sinai and Northwest Hospitals.
She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterologists, and has a special interest in treating Hepatitis, Liver disease, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

| Pamela J.
Isabel graduated from Penn State University
with both her Bachelors and Masters
degrees in Healthcare Administration. After
graduation Pamela spent 4 years in Guatemala

career has taken her through all aspects
of healthcare administration, including
long-term care, hospital administration,
managed care and ambulatory care practices.
